Lodz

How can I adorn this city with a rhyme?
In the autumn - a gloomy and dull city
Grey and livid, and dark grey smoke
And networks of streets - dense and dirty
From my windows I see the bland rag of the sky.
The backyard full of lime and clay,
Factory walls, a cracked roof
And smoke stackes sacattered everywhere
So, how can I adorn this city with a rhyme?

Deep friendship

Poet, rake the strings. Strike fire.
Staying quite is not for now.
Be generous.

A baby must cry before the mother
nurses. Make noise poet.

Want the deep friendship
out loud.

Dilate this love. Mention the name
of the one who started this.

What am I saying? Shams is Jesus
walking a mountain road.

I am slow, bewildered
avalanche moving along somehow
trying to follow him.
