ReplyDeleteI wanne make some comments on the poetry you posted and I will and up wth some questons.
The poeam is about the deep friendship - The first reading suggests, that this friendship is not beetween humans but to someone outside or inside Rumi - maybe Good or the soul or both, its the driving force of his life as a poet.
Rumi is bolstering himself - he is bolstering his fortune to write. And he is also somehow celebrating himself in the first passages and celebrating his deep friendship.
But - it seems to me that he is also anxious, because he knows, that he cant write without this friendship. Like the muse of the old creek.
And because knowing this, he gets somehow humbly, he gets quiet - Silentium.
So without him, the one who makes him write, which is his big friend, he can not write, and that makes him slow and bewildered - or humbly - somehow following him -.
Now it would be really interesting to know who is it, who is his biggest and deepest friend ? And why he didnt say his name ??? I mean its a friendship - its not love to god or some other relationship !!!! If its a true and honest friendship, he should - as he said - "mention the name of the one who started this".
But he is not doing this and - I think - he is not doing this, because this would break the basis of the friendship.
Is this the basis of every frendship - friendshp between humans and friendship to oneself - to be silent at a point? Because completly sincerity is destroying a the dignty of a friendship - and at this point it s somehow - lets say even better to lie or to keep it as a secret - out of awe to the friendship !!!!?????
Would we bear completly sincerity, in a friendship between humans and in the friendship to oneselfs ???
If not, could the Other friend bear, what we are not saying, but thinking about the friend, if he would know it ????
What do you think ???
